The Day & Night Distress Signal (Part No. SIG-913-1500) is a very compact personal survival signal incorporating a red flare at one end (for use at night), and a dense orange smoke at the other (for day time). The flare end is ribbed to aid identification at night, and both ends are fully waterproof with 'O' ring seals. Either end can be fired independently and the signal can be doused in water after firing, allowing the unused end to be stowed until required.

When to use
For Day or Night use - only when rescue services are sighted. Select the end to use - Smoke by day and Flare by night or day. Unscrew end cap, hold away from body and sharply pull toggle. Hold outboard and downwind. Ideal for personal use in small craft, kayaks, wind surfers or by aviators. Divers - Protect signal in a waterproof bag or container.
Storage Requirements
Ideally should be stored in the robust, specially designed polybottle, or in a dry, easily accessed location at ambient temperature.
